RECYCLING TIPS:
APPLIANCE DISPOSAL
The city of Phoenix charges a nominal fee for the pick-up and recycling of appliances. Residents should place no more than five appliances in front of property (not in the alleyway) and secure doors with tape. Remove any water/food from appliances, then call Solid Waste Customer Service at (602) 262-7251 to set up collection. Include the quantity of materials to be collected, your name, address and phone number. Within 1-5 business days, the staff will collect the appliances or computers and a representative will leave a notice stating that the material has been removed. The resident will be billed within two weeks. Customer service (the phone number above) can inform you as to the cost of your service.
